Nicholas Chesterley has held numerous posts in the Canadian government, including with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and the Department of Finance, and has led work on the future of government, public service innovation and experimentation, the future of money, and innovation and growth in the economy, among other topics.

As a Clarendon Scholar and SSHRC Doctoral Fellow, he completed his DPhil (PhD) in economics at the University of Oxford, looking at how public policy could help people plan for the future in areas such as retirement saving and energy-efficient technology adoption. Having grown up in BC, he lives and works in Ottawa and is a proud father and husband.
